the coast

"There you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place." Deuteronomy 1:31

This post is WAY overdue...but here are some pictures from the coast of the Indian Ocean in Mombasa! It was incredible. After camp was over, our team went to the coast to get away for a couple of days and relax. I had the opportunity to go snorkeling: I saw a lion fish, tons of colorful fish that looked like Nemo (: about 4 or 5 eels, a sea snake (it was super long, spotted, and scary...you can bet i swam away in a hurry!), we even caught some red and grey starfish! It was so much fun to see God's beautiful creation in the ocean.

We cooked LOBSTER one night, fresh out of the sea. Awesome.

This was the starfish I caught. Isn't it pretty?

This was the tiniest little lizard I've ever seen in my whole life...

From our room, we could see tons of monkeys in the trees jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and to different branches. Only in Kenya!

Camels on the beach.
We also got to go to the Elephant Orphanage one Saturday! (: It was such a fun day!
Me, Michelle, and Krystal admiring the elephants

It's so cute when the baby elephants cross their legs when they stand! haha
